We welcome the donation of used cell phones, computer ink and laser cartridges in donation receptacles located inside the Bayside, Bow Creek, Princess Anne, Kempsville and Great Neck Recreation Centers. Your donation is an environmentally sound way to dispose of these surplus items, and the proceeds help the Foundation fund grants for Parks & Recreation support.
The Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation Foundation has created an Urban Reforestation Fund as an opportunity for citizens to contribute money to address the general loss of trees in our community. Donations will be used to replace trees that have been lost throughout the City due to disease, storms or development. In early spring of each year, the VBP&R Foundation will provide 100% of the funds collected throughout the year to the Parks and Landscape Services Division for site selection, specimen recommendation, purchase and installation of the new trees.
